The Night Before the Snowfall
One night in the winter I noticed how much I liked the Christmas lights in the neighbour’s yards, and the cold clear sky above. That night I sat inside and sketched the scene pretty much from memory, probably with a few glances to check details, and then painted it.
The next morning I awoke to see a heavy snowfall.
